One woman passenger succumbed to her injuries at the Badulla General Hospital and eight other passengers were injured when the Trishaw in which they were travelling fell into a precipice at Telbeddewatte-Moragalle in the Badulla area.
The injured persons are being treated at the Badulla General Hospital. Meanwhile the deceased woman have been identified as Sebestian Joyce Mary (44), a resident of Upper Telbeddewatte. Badulla police is investigating the accident.
