The minor exports crops sector has expanded by 60% in the first half of 2010 after containing 3.4% in the review period of 2009 benefiting from the expanded global demand coupled with increased export prices.
This was the hightest performance registered within last ten years. The steps taken by the government to provide subsidy,financial assistance,extension and research inputs have also helped to boost production.
