A fire that erupted at Moragahaulpotha at Watagalakande forest reservation was doused by Forest and Air Force officers, Police Media Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody told the Sunday Observer. Around 200 acres of forest cover with trees were destroyed in the fire.
No one sustained injuries or loss of life have been reported according to Wigamuwa police.
