<P>The UNP heavyweight and the former Minister of Interior and Christian Affairs John Amaratunga said that the documentary presented by the Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa is of immense importance to re-establish the image of the country over the unfounded allegations leveled against by the Channel 4 documentary.

<P>" Had the effort was made at the beginning, we would have already won the international confidence", he told the Sunday Observer a short while ago.
