Sri Lanka shot out for 191 in first ODI [August 10 2011]

Sri Lanka, electing to bat first, were bowled out for 191 runs in 41.1 overs in their first one day international against Australia at Pallekele International Stadium today.

The hosts, after winning the two-match Twenty20 international series, were all at sea as Australia came back strongly in the first of the five ODI games to be played before the Test series between the two teams.

No.8 bat Suraj Randiv top scored with 41 off 50 balls while No.9 bat Nuwan Kulasekera (34) and opener Upul Tharanga (34) too make notable contributions. Sri Lanka struggled at 117 for 7 after 23 overs before Randiv and Kulasekara added 60 runs for the eighth wicket.
