Gaddafi vows death or victory in the fight against "aggression"

<p>Reports say Col. Muammar Gaddafi has vowed death or victory in the fight against "aggression", after Libyan rebels seized his Tripoli compound.
 

<p>Pro Gaddafi Al Urubah TV said the colonel whose whereabouts remain unknown made an audio speech, saying the retreat from the Bab Al Aziziya compound was a "tactical move".

<p>The compound was one of the final areas under Col. Gaddafi’s control in Tripoli.

<p>Meanwhile,  China has urged a "stable transition of power" in Libya and said it is in contact with the Rebel National Transition Council in the clearest sign yet that Beijing has effectively shifted recognition to rebel forces poised to defeat Muammar Gaddafi.

<p>The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today that china "respects the choice of the Libyan people and hopes for a stable transition of power."- Foreign media
