600 Vavuniya children returned with parents

<P>The 600 children who went missing during the conflict period from Jaffna District have been identified and were handed to their parents, Vavuniya GA P.S.M. Charles said.

<P>During this period 676 children had gone missing from Vavuniya district, according to Charles.

<P>Commenting on recently concluded International day of disappeared events the GA made these observations.

<P>Another 29 children have been identified. The handing over of those children to parents is also continuing, Charles added.
