The National Bhikku Front (NBF) has requested the government to bring legal amendments to prevent animals are being sacrificed for religious rituals.
Advisor of the NBF Ven. Hedigalle Wimalasara Thera claimed that proposals put before the parliament to ban animal sacrifices had not yet been passed.
