Australian High Commissioner Kathy Klugman, who was on a three-day visit to Jaffna has expressed her satisfaction about the welfare measures launched by the Army for Jaffna civilians.
She met the Security Forces Commander Jaffna Maj.Gen. Mahinda Hathurusinghe and discussed about prevailing security situation in Jaffna and development programmes being carried out by the Sri Lankan government in the peninsula.
During her visit Kulgman has visited few areas in Jaffna to get a first hand account on present development programmes and also inspected the Australian government funded housing project for resettled civilians in Maruthankerny.
