Parliamentarian Dumilda Silva who was seriously injured in Saturday’s shooting incident at Walpola, Mulleriyawa is recovering slowly without a life support system. But he is still being kept under observation at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital.
Hospital sources said the MP is recovering slowly but steadily. He is reported to be breathing without the support of a ventilator, on which he survived since admitting to the Hospital on Saturday evening in a critical condition. However, he is still unconscious but doctors at Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital expected confidence after a surgery to remove two bullets from his head two days ago.
