Army Commander, Lt. General Jagath Jayasuriya called upon his fellow soldiers to work harder in the nation building exercise while protecting the pride and dignity of the Army.
Speaking at the 62nd anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Army, held at CR & FC grounds, Colombo today, the Army Commander said that the soldiers made many sacrifices in protecting the country from ruthless terrorism and now it is the turn of the Army to make an active contribution in the country’s development drive. He also urged soldiers to work tirelessly in a dedicated manner and not to leave any room for treacherous acts to re-emerge.
