Sahan Rupesignhe and Akila Watareka have won Sri Lanka its second and third Gold medals respectively in life saving events at the South Asian Beach Games continued in Hambantota today.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka qualified to play India in the final of the men’s basketball of the inaugural South Asian Beach Games continued at Hambantota today. On their way to the final, Sri Lanka beat Bhutan 21-7 and Maldies 19-15. The final is scheduled to be played at 5 pm today. Bhutan will meet Maldives in the third place play off match for the bronze medal.
