The Ministry of Defence has given strict instructions to Police officers providing security to VIPs to be in their uniform at all times with effect from today.
Accordingly, Police officers detailed for VIP security must be in uniform when they are on duty. Police Spokesman SSP Maxi Procter stated that Policemen on VIP security duty have been instructed on the new rule.
