Family shot dead [October 14 2011]

Four persons including the father, mother, daughter and son were shot dead by an unknown gunman while they were in their home at Puhulyaya in the Udawalawe area on Thursday night, the Police Media Spokesman said.

Police have identified the deceased as M.K. Lalith (37) Indrani Gananalatha (32) Seelan Chaturanga (12) and Nadika Sewwandhi(8) The motive for the killing is not known as yet.

The Udawalawe police is investigating the murders. (JJ)
