Defence Ministry to hunt illegal weapons from today

<P> With the shooting incident at the Mulleriyawa on LG polls day, in which former MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed and MP Duminda Silva got severe injuries, the government has taken a decision to take all illegal weapons.

<P>The Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukkwella said the Defence Ministry already started operations today, to crack down on illegal arms.
