Two persons riding a motorcycle after shooting and injuring a man at Addarawatte Road, Kalupe, Hikkaduwa fled the scene before being identified, the police media spokesman said.
The shooting occurred yesterday around 9.30.p.m. The injured person was identified as Saman Kumara Mendis Wickremasinghe, a resident of Hikkaduwa. The injured man was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital. The suspects have not been arrested. Meetiyagoda police is investigating the incident. (JJ)
