Its UN report on Lanka - Darusman [October 21 2011]

When Marzuki Darusman spoke to the media at the UN on Thursday, his biography as read out by the UN did not include his recent work on Sri Lanka. Media People asked him as to why the Sri Lankan government called  it as the "Darusman report."

Darusman said, "it is a UN report, no less, no more," coming from a "penel of experts appointed by the UN Secretary General" Ban Ki-Moon. " Therefore it can only be known as a UN report on Sri Lanka"

Media  people Questioned him about the  belated transmission of the report  to the UN Human Rights Council. He replied that "it is now being referred to the Human Rights Council in Geneva."
