Two new penguins to arrive Dehiwala Zoo [October 28 2011]

Two pair of penguins will be brought to the National Zoological Gardens Dehiwala from Japan soon, the Zoos Director Bhashwara Senanka Gunarathna said.

The apir will be brought under an animal exchange programme and a special air conditioned section with low temperature to suit penguines living condition, has already been constructed.

The last penguins that lived in Dehiwala zoo died in 2009.
