White Falg case: Fonseka convicted for three-yrs imprisonment [November 18 2011]

The Colombo High Court in its dissenting judgement of the white flag case, has given a three-year imprisonment for former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka today.

The case was filled against Fonseka, who was accused for making a statement alledging the Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa had ordered to shoot the LTTE cadres who surrendered with while flags.

He was accused  of giving this statement to Sunday Leader Editor Frederica Jansz during an interview.
