The floods in Batticoloa have displaced over 29 families, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.
Displaced families in the Eastern Province and Polonnaruwa District are now being sheltered in two schools.
The relief work are being carried out while traveling to the flood affected areas has been restricted with the collapsing of the bridge.
