With traders in Fort taking into street in their second day of the protest against the new regulations regarding vegetable and fruit transportation, a heavy traffic jam is reported from Colombo Fort.
The traders commenced their protests against the raids of lorries transporting vegetables and fruits without using plastic containers.
The Authority had raided 40 such lorries at Hanwella and Peliyagoda.
The raids were carried out in five locations in Paliyagoda, near the Kelaniya Bridge and the Hanwella area.
