<P>One dead, 13 injured in bus - cab collision

<P>A 60-year-old woman was killed on the spot and 13 others including four children sustained injuries when a bus collided head on with a double cab in Kahawatta short while ago.  

<P>A bus carrying a group of employees of a private company bound for Kahawatta from Embilipitiya collided head on with a double cab travelling to the opposite direction at 12 mile post in Madampe area on Embilipitiya Road.  

<P>Three men, six women and four children of both vehicles who sustained serious injuries had been rushed to Ratnapura and Kahawatta hospitals. 

<P>Kahawatta Police inquiring into the incident said the speeding and reckless driving had caused the accident. The victim had been identified as W K Leelawathi (60).
