Wijeweeras daughter arrested for assaulting mother Easha Wijeweera, the daughter of JVP founder leader Rohana Wijeweera, was arrested today for allegedly assaulting her mother and brother.
The police said the arrest was made on a complain made on the incident that had taken place at their house. The slain JVP leaders family has been living in at house located within the Welisara Navy Camp, as they had requested security.
The widow of late Wijeweera had lodged a complaint with the Mahabage police against her daughter. Easha Wijeweera was later produced before the Wattala Magistrate, who ordered to remand the suspect till June 3.
