Fire in forest reserve [June 05 2013]

At least five acres of forest was destroyed when a sudden fire broke out in Ravana Forest Reserve in Ella Police area last evening.

The police had managed to cease the fire being spread further more in the area also identified as “Punchi Siripade”.

The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained.
