Four drowned and 17 missing in rough seas

<P>Four fishermen drowned and 17 others were reportedly missing in the rough seas off Galle, Elpitiya and Kaluthara Police Divisions, the police spokesman said.

<P> All 17 were identified to be males who left for fishing last night in Ahungalla but had not returned yet.  

<P> The drowned victims were from Ahungalla, Benthota, Galle and Beruwala, the police said.  

<P> Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Navy is currently engaged in a joint rescue operation.
