A five-month old infant girl who had been abandoned by her parents was found along the railway track behind the Lake House building in Fort this morning, the police said.
The baby was salvaged by Fort Police on an information received by Police Emergency Colombo.
She is currently being treated at Lady Ridgeway Hospital in Borella. The police are yet to identify her parents.
