A group of 23 persons who tried to migrate to Australia in a boat was nabbed by the Kalawanchikudy Police in Vettapalayam beach this morning.
The group comprising six males, eight females and nine children are reportedly residents from Vavuniya, Wennappuwa, Bingiriya, Marawila, Settikulam and Kalawanchikudy areas.
They were to be produced before Kalawanchikudy Magistrate today.
