Bodhgaya reopened  [July 08 2013]

The Mahabodhi temple will be reopened for public this evening, according to Indian news reports. The Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and forensic experts will continue their probe into the serial blasts even the temple is open for public, the Zee media Bureau reports.

According to these news reports one person was detained today by the NIA in connection with these serial blasts. As the Indian Express reports, quoting DIG, Magadh Range, Nayyer Hasnain Khan, the person was detained based on the information from an identity card that was found within the temple premises yesterday (07). The NIA is interrogating him, according to the news report.

"One suspect hailing from Barachatti block in Gaya has been detained and we are questioning him. We have been analysing the footage and based on that some more people would be questioned soon," a senior police official told the Indian Express.

"All the CCTV cameras in the Mahabodhi temple premises were fully functional. As you must have seen in the CCTV footage, both state security personnel and temples own security personnel were present. I dont think there was any lapse on security front," the official said.

The CCTV footage of yesterdays serials blasts at the Mahabodhi temple and adjoining areas were released today. Two monks were injured due to the serial blast.
