Import tax on potatoes and onions increased

<p>Import Tax on potatoes and Bombay Onions have been increased with effect from today (23), according to the Finance Ministry.  

<p>The import tax on potatoes has been increased by Rs. 40 per kilogram and the tax on Bombay Onions have been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 35 (per kilogram).
