Police Elections Desk had received 200 pre-election violation complaints up to 6.00am today since the last day of nominations on August 01 from Northern, North-Western and Central provinces and 146 persons have been arrested due to various election related offences.
Police Spokesman SSP P M H B Siriwardena said the highest number of complaints had been received from Central Province which is 87.
