53 students of the South Eastern University were remanded today by the Samanthurai Magistrate over a clash.
49 male students and four female students were arrested by the police over a clash between two student factions last night. 23 students had been injured and admitted to Samanthurai Hospital.
The students were ordered to be remanded until October 08.
