Two 13-year-old schoolboys who went to pluck lotus flowers in Vilathalawa Tank in Mahaoya drowned last evening, the police said.
The victims Anjana Prishantha and Dilshan Prabath Kumara residents of Mahaoya were grade eight students of Iddapola Viduhala.
The victims among a group of students had gone to pick flowers in the tank after school.
