A female tea plucker who was engaged in plucking tea leaves in Kuilawatta area in Watawala had been bitten by a leopard last morning, the police said.
The 40-year-old victim a resident of Rosella had initially been admitted to Watawala Hospital following the wounds caused by the wild beast was later transferred to Navalapitiya Hospital for further treatment.
