A local man returning from Dubai who attempted to smuggle in a stock of opium worth over Rs.5million was arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau official at the Bandaranaike International Airport today.
The suspect had brought the contraband carefully hidden in his bag was arrested on suspicion. He had allegedly claimed that he is a Royal Pharmacist of Dubai.
PNB is conducting inquiries.
