An 18-year-old male committed suicide by stabbing himself after stabbing his 17-year-old girlfriend following a dispute in Rakwana last evening, the police said.
The deceased had arrived at his girlfriends house on Deniyaya Road and had stabbed her following a heated argument. He had then stabbed himself.
Both had been rushed to hospital but the male succumbed to his wounds prior to the admission. The teenage girl is being treated at Kahawatta Hospital. Rakwana Police is conducting investigations.
