The Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of Bentota Pradeshiya Sabha who exchanged blows during the last session were arrested by the police a short while ago, the police said.
The Chairman Gayan Sirimanna and Deputy Chairman Ranjith Wickramasingha will be produced before Balapitiya Magistrate Courts today.
The duo were engaged in fisticuffs during the Pradeshiya Sabha session held on October 28 over an unsettled dispute, the police said.
