Police yesterday arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of five family members in Viharahalmillakulama on Monday night.
The suspect was arrested from Hasalaka and recovered cash Rs.153, 750, four gold chains, a bracelet and a male ring from his possession.
Five persons including three women were hacked to death whilst another male sustained serious injuries in the midnight assault.
Several police teams are conducting investigations.
