An 08-year-old boy returning home after school was killed due to being knocked down by a speeding double cab on Bakkiela – Vellavali road last evening, the police said.
The victim identified as Yoganadn Pahirdeen, a resident of Vilanthottam area was pronounced dead by the time he was admitted to Kalawanchikudi Hospital.
According to police the victim was walking on the right side of the road when the speeding vehicle had knocked him down. The driver of the cab was arrested.
