At least five persons sustained gunshot wounds when a person opened fire at them over an unsettled dispute in Yodakandiya in Tissamaharama this evening, the police said.
A clash had triggered when a person on a motorcycle had knocked down another on the road who had subsequently summoned a group to attack the former. The motorcyclist who had possessed a weapon had fired at the gang injuring five.
The injured had been rushed to Debarawewa and Tissamaharama Hospitals. Tissamaharama Police are conducting investigations.
