Government Analyst is to visit the scene where the fire broke out at a temporarily built exhibition hall at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall this morning.
Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the preliminary inquiries are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire and the amount of the damage incurred by it.
The fire had started around 11.15am and the fire brigade was immediately informed by the people at the scene. The fire was soon brought under control by the fire fighters with the help of the police.
No casualties had been reported in the fire, the police said.
