Customs Revenue Task Force today seized a container load of illicit cigarettes imported from Dubai worth of Rs.112 million, Customs Spokesman Director Leslie Gamini said.
The consignment consisted of brands like Top Mountain which is illegal to sell in Sri Lanka has been addressed to a bogus consignee in Keyser Street, Colombo 11. It contained four million sticks of cigarettes.
Investigations are being conducted by Customs Director of RTF K D Nicholas.
