A tensed situation is reported from Colombo Fort Railway Station area up to Pettah at present following a demonstration launched by the Buddhists monks representing Sinhala Rawaya against cattle slaughter, the police said.
The demonstrators have blocked one side of Olcott Mawatha creating a huge a traffic congestion. The police have deployed additional forces in the area.
