UNP Western Provincial Council candidate Royce Fernando was arrested yesterday as the chief suspect in connection with the Rs.15million armed robbery at a foreign exchange dealer in Negombo last week.
A special police team in Negombo arrested the second suspect on Friday and having questioned him captured the main suspect, Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.
The police also recovered Rs.185, 000 of the robbed cash.
