Two persons who were transporting two Bark Geckos were taken into custody by Bibila Police this afternoon.
The suspects who were riding on a motorcycle on Bibila – Batticaloa main road were searched on a tip off and the creatures were found in a large plastic bottle.
The suspects were returning after a failed attempt to sell each Gecko for Rs.100, 000 to a buyer in Galle. They were produced before Bibila Magistrate Courts.
