A man who was possessing counterfeit notes worth up to Rs.50, 000 in the denominations of Rs.5, 000 was seized by Pettah Police yesterday.
The suspect aged 23 from Deiyandara, Matara was searched on a tip off near Bastion Mawatha and found 10 forged notes. He was produced before Hulftsdorp Magistrate and remanded.
