A person believed to have linked to the underworld had been shot dead by an unidentified gunman at is residence in Dameliwatta, Grandpass last night, the police said.
The 28-year-old victim has been identified as Sifaq linked to underworld activities.
The gunman who had come in a trishaw had fired several rounds at the victim before fled the scene. Maligawatta Police is conducting investigations.
