The main suspect of the abduction of two Police Constables and killing one in Kurunegala was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department in Theldeniya yesterday.
The suspect along with several others including three army deserters went missing since the abduction drama and looting a fuel station in Kurunegala two weeks ago.
The suspect is being detained by the CID for further interrogation, Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.
Two Constables attached to Kurunegala Police Traffic Branch were abducted by a gang whilst on duty in Badagamuwa area, whom one was later tortured and shot dead by the abductors. The other Constable managed to flee and save his life.
