The Chairman of Divulapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Indika Anurudda has been arrested by the police for his alleged involvement in an assault incident in Dehigahapallama yesterday.
The PS Chairman and another were arrested by Kotadeniyawa Police. They were to be produced before Minuwangoda Magistrate.
The victim of the assault case is being treated at Negombo Hospital at present, the police said.
