The electricity project set up for the benefit of the Rathugala area in the Moneragala district will be handed over to the public shortly, according to the Ministry of Power and Energy. The project will provide electricity to the indigenous community living confined to the Rathugala area. The electricity project will be activated in a few days by the Power and Energy Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.
Under the directives of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Power and Energy Ministry has decided to provide electricity to every household without electricity before the end of this year.
