A factory manufacturing shirts in the Katunayake Free Trade Zone was completely gutted when a fire broke out in the premises today, the police said.
The fire had been brought under control with much difficulty by Katunayake Police, Katunayake Municipal Council Fire Unit, Air Force Fire Unit and FTZ Fire Unit.
The loss incurred by the fire is yet to be ascertained.
